What is a pump-out station?
A pump-out station is a facility on the canal network where boaters with holding tank toilets can have their waste tank emptied. A pump-out machine connects to a deck fitting on your boat and vacuums out the tank contents. Most pump-outs are operated by marinas or boatyards and typically cost £15–£25 per pump-out. Some Canal & River Trust sanitary stations also offer pump-out facilities.
If you have a cassette toilet instead, look for elsan disposal points.
